Refund policy

Refunds are not available for purchases or for any event ticket purchases, however we will happily provide credit towards an alternate rescheduled date, or store credit to purchase chocolate products online if needed.

Hot Shot Chocolate does not provide refunds for 3rd party shipment delays. See store shipping policy for details.

Damages and issues
Please inspect your order upon reception and contact us immediately if the item is damaged or if you receive the wrong item, so that we can evaluate the issue and make it right. We may ask you to provide a photograph of the damage or items provided.

Exceptions / non-returnable items
Items cannot be returned, as we cannot accept food items back. Please get in touch if you have questions or concerns about your specific item.

Exchanges 

Unfortunately we cannot offer exchanges however if you are unsatisfied with your order we may offer store credit. Please contact us to discuss further details.

Booking Policies for Private Parties

To book an event we require a non-refundable $100.00 deposit to hold a specific date and time for our private customers. The $100.00 will go towards the invoice total and subtracted from the final invoice total the day of payment. 

Event Cancellation:

In the case of an event cancellation – there is no refund available for deposits, (with the exception for illness from Covid-19) however, the deposit can be applied to book an alternative party date.

1)      In the event of a cancellation, we require a minimum of 7 days notice otherwise the deposit is no longer applicable for future event bookings.

2)      You must cancel at least 48 hours in advance otherwise full charges for the party will be charged to your credit card.

Illness:

In the event of sudden illness, if you are unable to provide us with 48 hours notice a fee of $20 will be charged instead of full invoice amount. (With the exception for illness from Covid-19)

Public Workshop Cancellations:

In the event of a cancellation within 48 hours or more before the workshop date, you must alert us to the change at your earliest convenience. Re-bookings that occur in a 48 hour time frame or less are subject to a $20 re-booking fee. 

Hot Shot Chocolate reserves the right to reschedule or cancel a public workshop due to insufficient registration or chocolatier scheduling constraints. Minimum registrant requirements vary. We strive to let clients know if a workshop has to be rescheduled or cancelled 48 hours or two business days before the event, however, this is not always possible. We will provide an extension of up to six months for any purchased public workshop ticket to be reclaimed.

We welcome all ages at our workshops, however recommend that children under the age of 12 attending the workshops are accompanied by an adult.

To attend a public workshop you are required to present a ticket purchase receipt to the host in order to participate.
